Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah akibat naiknya yield obligasi pemerintah AS, inflasi yang tetap tinggi serta negosiasi kenaikan batas utang AS yang belum mencapai kesepakatan. Saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar karena akan terdampak negatif dengan kenaikan suku bunga. Yield US-Treasury naik pada level tertinggi sejak Juni, seiring dengan kekhawatiran akan inflasi tinggi serta potensi The Fed akan mempercepat jadwal pengetatan kebijakan moneternya. Menteri Keuangan Janet Yellen memperkirakan inflasi akhir tahun 2021 akan mendekati 4% dan memperingatkan kegagalan anggota parlemen untuk mencegah penutupan pemerintah, karena AS semakin dekat dengan kemampuan pinjamannya, dapat menyebabkan bahaya serius bagi perekonomian. Partai Republik di Senat tampaknya akan menghentikan upaya Demokrat untuk memperpanjang otoritas pinjaman pemerintah dan menghindari potensi gagal bayar kredit AS. Indeks kepercayaan konsumen melemah secara tak terduga pada bulan September ke level terendah sejak Februari, pada level 109,3 dari 115,2.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 28 September 2021 ditutup melemah 0,15% pada level 6113. Saham sektor transportasi mengalami pelemahan terbesar. Sebaliknya saham sektor energi mengalami kenaikan signifikan seiring dengan kenaikan harga minyak mentah dan batubara. Investor asing net buy Rp740,64 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6090/6060 dan resistance 6150/6170. Stock pick: TLKM, INCO, ITMG, PTBA, JSMR, UNTR, LSIP
