Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, di mana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup menguat terbatas, sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup melemah tipis. Indeks telah memasuki area overbought secara teknikal karena telah mengalami reli selama delapan pekan berturut-turut. Indeks Dow Jones ditutup pada level tertinggi baru, sedangkan indeks S&P500 mendekati level rekor tertingginya. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah berlanjut melemah seiring dengan meredanya kekhawatiran akan dampak serangan terhadap kapal-kapal di Laut Merah. Sedangkan harga emas juga mengalami koreksi, setelah menguat pada level tertinggi selama tiga pekan terakhir, akibat kenaikan dollar AS dan yield US-Treasury.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 28 Desember 2023 ditutup menguat 0,8% pada level 7303. Saham sektor properti membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor transportasi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp1,068 triliun termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
