Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat meskipun yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun naik pada level 4,54%, setelah sebelumnya sempat menyentuh level tertinggi sejak tahun 2007 pada level 4,57%. Delapan dari 11 sektor dalam indeks S&P500 mengalami kenaikan, dengan penguatan terbesar pada saham sektor energi. Investor memantau kemajuan resolusi anggaran di AS. Para anggota parlemen pada akhir pekan menyatakan sedikit tanda-tanda pergerakan mengenai kesepakatan yang akan menjaga pendanaan pemerintah AS untuk sisa tahun fiskal ini. Moody’s memperingatkan bahwa government shutdown akan menjadi hal negatif terhadap peringkat kredit AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 25 September 2023 ditutup melemah 0,26% pada level 6998. Saham sektor infrastruktur mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer noncyclical membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp1,182 triliun termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
