Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat setelah beberapa hari mengalami koreksi akibat kekhawatiran akan dampak terhadap ekonomi atas potensi kenaikan suku bunga The Fed yang masih akan berlanjut lebih lama dari perkiraan dalam upaya menurunkan laju inflasi pada kisaran target The Fed 2%. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah menguat di tengah ketatnya suplay karena ekspektasi pemangkasan output produksi oleh Rusia pada bulan depan, namun penguatan dollar AS dan naiknya cadangan minyak strategis AS menimbulkan kekhawatiran akan lemahnya permintaan. Sedangkan harga emas melemah karena ekspektasi kenaikan suku bunga The Fed lebih lanjut.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 23 Februari 2023 ditutup menguat 0,43% pada level 6839. Saham sektor transportasi membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer noncyclical mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp20,73 miliar, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6803/6780 dan resistance 6855/6870.
