Indeks di bursa Wall Street kembali ditutup menguat. Sejumlah laporan keuangan emiten yang solid meredakan kekhawatiran investor akan suku bunga yang lebih tinggi. Sekitar 20% emiten dalam indeks S&P500 telah merilis laporan keuangan triwulan I, di mana sebesar 76% membukukan kinerja di atas perkiraan. Sementara itu indeks PMI manufaktur AS bulan Maret turun pada level 49,9 dari 51,9, yang merupakan level terendah dalam empat bulan terakhir. Hal itu memicu penurunan yield US-Treasury karena meningkatkan ekspektasi akan penurunan suku bunga The Fed.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 23 April 2024 ditutup menguat 0,52% pada level 7110. Saham sektor energi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor transportasi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp127,91 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
