Indeks di bursa Wall Street kembali ditutup melemah di tengah meningkatnya kekhawatiran resesi ekonomi setelah The Fed mengindikasikan akan melanjutkan kenaikan suku bunga secara agresif sebagai upaya menurunkan inflasi. Yield US-Treasury kembali mengalami kenaikan dengan yield untuk tenor 2 tahun dan 10 tahun masing-masing mengalami kenaikan pada level tertinggi sejak Februari 2011 dan Oktober 2007. Beberapa bank sentral negara lain mengikuti langkah The Fed untuk menaikkan suku bunga dalam upaya menurunkan laju inflasi, meskipun dapat berdampak terhadap pelemahan ekonomi.

Dari domestik, secara tidak terduga BI menaikkan suku bunga BI7DRR sebesar 0,5% menjadi 4,25%, suku bunga deposit facility sebesar 0,5% menjadi 3,5% dan suku bunga lending facility sebesar 0,50% menjadi 5%. Langkah ini dilakukan oleh BI sebagai langkah untuk menurunkan ekspektasi inflasi dan memastkan inflasi inti kembali ke target 2%-4% pada semester II 2023 serta memperkuat stabilitas rupiah.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 22 September 2022 ditutup menguat 0,43% pada level 7218. Saham sektor energi membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp835,25 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non regular. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7165/7125 dan resistance 7225/7252.
