Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup variatif dalam kisaran sempit. Indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup melemah tipis, sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup di area positif. Pasar masih diliputi oleh kecemasan akan potensi kondisi suku bunga tinggi lebih lama dari perkiraan sebelumnya. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun sempat menguat di atas 4,2% untuk pertama kalinya dalam tiga bulan terakhir, sebelum kemudian sedikit turun dari level itu. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah berlanjut menguat. Harga emas menguat seiring dengan naiknya permintaan akan safe menjelang pemilu di AS. IMF menurunkan proyeksi pertumbuhan ekonomi global tahun depan menjadi 3,2% dan memperingatkan meningkatnya risiko dari perang hingga proteksionisme perdagangan.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 22 Oktober 2024 ditutup menguat 0,21% pada level 7788. Saham sektor energi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor propertil mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp139,33 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
