Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah seiring dengan kembalinya tekanan jual akibat kekhawatiran akan terjadinya resesi ekonomi global karena masih berlanjutnya tren kenaikan suku bunga oleh para bank sentral di dunia. Sebelumnya indeks Dow Jones bahkan sempat melemah hingga lebih dari 800 poin. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah juga melemah akibat kekhawatiran akan masih berlanjutnya kenaikan suku bunga. Harga emas juga melemah karena kenaikan dollar AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 22 Desember 2022 ditutup menguat 0,05% pada level 6824. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor basic materials mengalami pelemahan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp314,16 miliar, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6790/6765 dan resistance 6855/6900.
