Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup variatif, di mana indeks Dow Jones dan indeks S&P500 ditutup melemah sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup di area positif. Saham sektor konsumer dan pengembang mengalami koreksi terbesar akibat meningkatnya kecemasan bahwa masih akan dipertahankan suku bunga tinggi dalam waktu lebih lama dari perkiraan sebelumnya. Sentimen negatif juga berasal dari kenaikan yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun pada level 4,19%. Hal ini akibat kekhawatiran investor bahwa The Fed akan lebih lembat dalam menurunkan suku bunga karena ekonomi AS masih kuat. Pasar juga menantikan kelanjutan earning season triwulan III 2024. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah rebound setelah pada akhir pekan lalu melemah. Sedangkan harga emas mengalami koreksi akibat kenaikan yield US-Treasury dan dollar AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 21 Oktober 2024 ditutup menguat 0,16% pada level 7772. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer noncyclical mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp322,03 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7750/7730 dan resistance 7800/7830. Stock pick : ASII, ADMR, ANTM, INCO, TINS, MDKA, SCMA
