Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat, rebound dari tekanan jual selama tiga hari akibat penyebaran virus varian omicron di AS. Penguatan ditopang oleh kenaikan pada saham sektor teknologi, energi dan perjalanan. Presiden Joe Biden menyerukan kepada masyarakat AS untuk mendapatkan vaksinasi dosis ketiga serta mengulangi kembali pernyataannya bahwa AS tidak akan kembali seperti Maret 2020 ketika melakukan lockdown akibat penyebaran virus. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun rebound pada level 1,5% setelah pekan lalu melemah hingga level 1,36%. Harga minyak mentah juga rebound di atas level USD 70/barel.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 21 Desember 2021 ditutup menguat 0,11% pada level 6554. Saham sektor industri membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp332,59 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6525/6485 dan resistance 6580/6610.
