Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat, rebound dari profit taking pada perdagangan sehari sebelumnya. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah setelah Angola mengatakan akan keluar dari OPEC, sehingga menimbulkan keraguan kemampuan OPEC untuk mendukung harga minyak mentah dengan membatasi pasokan global. Harga emas menguat karena melemahnya dollar AS dan data ekonomi AS yang mendukung penurunan suku bunga The Fed. Pertumbuhan ekonomi AS pada Q3 direvisi menjadi 4,9% dari 5,2%. Data initial claims sedikit naik. Ekspektasi pasar bahwa The Fed akan menurunkan suku bunga pada bulan Maret menjadi meningkat.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 21 Desember 2023 ditutup melemah 0,14% pada level 7209. Saham sektor kesehatan mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor properti membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp382,61 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7170/7150 dan resistance 7235/7270. Stock pick: BBRI, MDKA, PGEO, ISAT, EXCL, ITMG, ADRO, CTRA
