Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat, setelah hasil pertemuan The Fed menahan suku bunga tetap serta mempertahankan ekspektasi akan ada penurunan suku bunga sebanyak tiga kali pada tahun ini. Seperti perkiraan, pada pertemuan kemarin The Fed mempertahankan suku bunga tetap pada kisaran 5,25%-5,5%, yang merupakan level tertinggi dalam 23 tahun terakhir. Bersamaan dengan keputusan tersebut, The Fed menyatakan akan menurunkan suku bunga sebesar 0,25% sebanyak tiga kali sebelum akhir tahun 2024. Namun The Fed kembali menyatakan bahwa diperlukan bukti yang kuat bahwa inflasi turun menuju target The Fed sebesar 2% sebelum The Fed mulai menurunkan suku bunga. Ekspektasi akan penurunan suku bunga pada tahun ini mendorong penguatan harga emas serta memicu koreksi pada yield US-Treasury dan dollar AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 20 Maret 2024 ditutup melemah 0,08% pada level 7331. Saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor kesehatan membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp354,38 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7300/7270 dan resistance 7350/7370. Stock pick: BBRI, BBNI, BBTN, BRIS, EXCL, ICBP, MYOR, UNVR, PTBA, SIDO
