Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat didorong oleh penguatan pada saham sektor teknologi. Pasar berharap indeks telah mencapai bottom, sehingga melakukan pembelian terhadap saham yang lebih berisiko seperti sektor teknologi. Saham semikonduktor mengalami kenaikan setelah Senat AS mendorong UU senilai USD 50 miliar untuk mendukung manufaktur chip di AS. Sementara itu data existing home sales bulan Mei turun 5,4%. Hingga saat ini sebanyak 12% emiten dalam indeks S&P500 yang telah merilis laporan keuangan, sebesar 68% membukukan kinerja di atas estimasi. Harga minyak mentah melemah setelah data menunjukkan penurunan permintaan bensin di AS. Harga emas melemah akibat dollar AS yang cenderung stabil di tengah ekspektasi akan kenaikan suku bunga The Fed pada pekan depan.

Dari domestik, hari ini akan diumumkan hasil keputusan BI dalam RDG selama dua hari. Menurut konsensus, BI masih akan mempertahankan BI7DRR pada level 3,5%. IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 20 Juli 2022 ditutup menguat 2,06% pada level 6874. Semua sektor menguat dengan kontribusi penguatan terbesar pada saham sektor industry. Investor asing net buy Rp372,6 miliar, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6850/6800 dan resistance 6940/6990.
