Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah cukup signifikan akibat profit taking setelah mengalami reli selama beberapa pekan terakhir. Namun ketiga indeks utama di Wall Street tersebut masih membukukan penguatan selama bulan Desember. Dan sejak penutupan terendah pada 27 Oktober dan hingga penutupan hari Selasa, indeks Dow Jones telah menguat 15,9%, indeks S&P 500 naik 15,8% dan Nasdaq Composite meningkat 19,1%. Sementara itu Morgan Stanley memprediksi bahwa The Fed baru akan mulai menurunkan suku bunga pada Juni 2024, lebih lambat dari ekspektasi pasar yang memperkirakan The Fed akan mulai menurunkan suku bunga pada Maret 2024.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 20 Desember 2023 ditutup menguat 0,44% pada level 7219. Saham sektor basic material membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer non cyclical mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp554,81 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7200/7185 dan resistance 7250/7280. Stock pick: BBCA, BMRI, BRIS, INAF, MDKA, INDY, BRPT, PGEO
