Indeks di bursa Wall Street kembali ditutup menguat dipicu oleh optimisme akan kinerja keuangan emiten triwulan II 2023 yang lebih baik dari estimasi. Indeks Dow Jones memgalami kenaikan selama delapan hari berturut-turut, yang merupakan reli terpanjang sejak September 2019. Dari emiten dalam indeks S&P500 yang telah merilis laporan keuangan triwulan II 2023 hingga saat ini, sebesar 78% membukukan kinerja yang melebihi perkiraan. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah akibat profit taking setelah sebelumnya sempat menguat yang dipicu oleh ketatnya suplay AS serta China yang akan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonominya.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 18 Juli 2023 ditutup melemah 0,54% pada level 6830. Saham sektor transportasi mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor consumer cyclical menjadi satu-satunya sektor yang menguat. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp310,9 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6810/6785 dan resistance 6850/6870. Stock pick: BBRI, BBTN, MEDC, PGAS, RALS, MAPI
