Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah tajam akibat kekhawatiran akan dampak tingginya inflasi terhadap laba emiten. Laporan keuangan Wal-Mart dan Target yang di bawah estimasi akibat kenaikan biaya bahan bakar dan tenaga kerja, memicu kecemasan investor akan dampak inflasi terhadap penurunan laba emiten. Yield US-Treasury dengan tenor 10 tahun turun di bawah level 2,9% setelah sempat naik hingga di atas 3%, karena investor beralih ke obligasi sebagai safe haven. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah melemah akibat naiknya produksi minyak AS. Koreksi harga emas berkurang seiring dengan turunnya yield US-Treasury.

IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 18 Mei 2022 ditutup menguat 2,24% pada level 6793. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor energi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp274,4 miliar, termasuk transaksi di pasar negosiasi atas saham BBCA dengan net sell investor asing sebesar Rp101,38 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6700/6650 dan resistance 6830/6900. Stock pick: BBRI, BMRI, BBNI, BBTN, BBCA, ADMR, ADRO, INDY, INCO, ANTM, ASII, PGAS
