Indeks di bursa Wall Street pada akhir pekan lalu ditutup menguat, melanjutkan reli seiring dengan memudarnya kecemasan akan resesi ekonomi setelah dirilisnya beberapa data ekonomi yang lebih baik dari perkiraan. Selain itu ekspektasi penurunan suku bunga The Fed pada bulan depan juga semakin menguat dengan dirilisnya data CPI yang mengalami penurunan. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah mengalami koreksi akibat kekhawatiran akan turunnya permintaan global serta adanya pembicaraan gencatan senjata di Gaza. Sedangkan harga emas menguat mencapai rekor tertinggi seiring dengan pelemahan dollar AS dan ekspektasi penurunan suku bunga The Fed.

Data ekonomi AS yang akan dirilis pada pekan ini diantaranya initial claims, existing home sales dan new home sales. Dari domestik, dijadwalkan BI akan mengadakan Rapat Dewan Gubernur untuk membahas kebijakan moneter pada hari Selasa-Rabu, dimana diperkirakan BI akan mempertahankan BI Rate pada level 6,25%.

IHSG pada perdagangan Jumat 16 Agustus 2024 ditutup menguat 0,30% pada level 7432. Semua sektor menguat dengan kontribusi penguatan terbesar pada saham sektor transportasi. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp770,25 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non regular. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7410/7385 dan resistance 7460/7480. Stock pick: BBCA, INKP, ADRO, ADMR, PTBA, TLKM, ASII
