Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix dalam kisaran sempit dengan indeks Dow Jones ditutup melemah sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup di area positif. Indeks ditutup cenderung stagnan setelah sebelumnya sempat menguat mencapai level tertinggi, menjelang dirilisnya hasil pertemuan The Fed nanti malam. Pasar menantikan penurunan suku bunga The Fed untuk pertama kalinya sejak tahun 2020. Namun prediksi pasar terpecah antara penurunan suku bunga sebesar 0,25% atau 0,5%. Sementara itu data penjualan ritel naik 0,1% pada bulan Agustus, lebih baik dari estimasi yang turun 0,2%.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 17 September 2024 ditutup menguat 0,25% pada level 7831. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor infrastruktur mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp678,82 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7800/7780 dan resistance 7860/7900. Stock pick: BBRI, BMRI, BBNI, BBTN, ASII, UNTR, PTBA, INDY, BUMI, ADMR, ASRI
