Bursa Wall Street libur Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Indeks di bursa Eropa ditutup melemah. Pasar menantikan hasil pertemuan forum ekonomi dunia di Davos, Swiss. Sentimen negatif juga berasal dari data awal ekonomi Jerman tahun. 2023 yang turun 0,3%. Pelemahan ini disebabkan oleh tingginya inflasi, naiknya suku bunga, serta lemahnya permintaan dari domestik dan ekspor. World Economic Forum akan diselenggarakan pada 14-19 Januari 2024. Beberapa agenda utama yang akan dibahas diperkirakan mengenai perdagangan global, inflasi, jaringan suplay, perubahan teknologi, serta perang di Timur Tengah dan Ukraina.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 15 Januari 2024 ditutup melemah 0,24% pada level 7224. Saham sektor kesehatan mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor transportasi membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net buy Rp185,83 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler.
