Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat mendorong indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 mencapai rekor tertinggi baru. Saham sektor kesehatan dan teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Saham sektor industri, komoditas dan energi juga menguat menjelang akhir sesi. Data initial claims pekan lalu sedikit turun menjadi 375 ribu dari 387 ribu, serta di bawah estimasi 383 ribu. Data inflasi di tingkat produsen PPI pada bulan Juli sebesar 1%, di atas estimasi 0,5%. Core PPI juga sebesar 1%, di atas perkiraan 0,5%. Harga minyak mentah stabil setelah IEA menyatakan penyebaran virus varian delta akan memperlambat pemulihan permintaan minyak global dan sehari sebelumnya AS menyerukan kepada OPEC+ untuk menambah suplay minyak mentah dalam upaya membantu pemulihan ekonomi global. Harga emas bertahan di atas level USD1750/t.oz seiring dengan meredanya kekhawatiran tapering The Fed akan lebih cepat dari perkiraan setelah data CPI melambat.
IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 12 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 0,84% pada level 6139. Saham sektor infrastruktur membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp506,2 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6070/6050 dan resistance 6165/6190. Stock pick: BMRI, BBNI, ANTM, TINS, ERAA, TLKM, EXCL, JSMR, PTBA, ADRO
