Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah dengan koreksi terbesar pada saham sektor teknologi yaitu produsen chip. Sentimen negatif antara lain berasal dari sejumlah laporan kinerja emiten yang mengecewakan menjelang dirilisnya data inflasi nanti malam. Pasar mencermati dampak tingginya inflasi dan kenaikan suku bunga The Fed terhadap kinerja emiten. Inflasi Juli diperkirakan akan melambat dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya karena turunnya harga minyak mentah. Menurut konsensus Dow Jones, inflasi Juli diperkirakan sebesar 0,2% mom dan 8,7% yoy, lebih rendah dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya yang sebesar 1,3% mom dan 9,1% yoy. Sementara itu harga emas menguat seiring dengan pelemahan dollar AS.

IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 9 Agustus 2022 ditutup menguat 0,23% pada level 7102. Saham sektor energi membukukan kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor kesehatan mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp1,325 triliun, termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7090/7050 dan resistance 7160/7195.
