Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup melemah akibat kekhawatiran akan terganggunya pemulihan ekonomi akibat penyebaran virus varian delta. Selain itu ketidakpastian apakah The Fed akan menunda tapering tahun ini juga menjadi faktor negatif. Saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Dalam Fed Beige Book terbaru, The Fed menyatakan bahwa ekonomi sedikit melambat pada bulan Agustus, akibat kekhawatiran akan kenaikan kasus baru virus varian baru akan memperlambat pemulihan ekonomi. Sementara itu Presiden The Fed St. Louis mengatakan pada Financial Times bahwa The Fed seharusnya melanjutkan rencana untuk mengurangi stimulusnya, meskipun data pertumbuhan tenaga kerja melambat.
IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 8 September 2021 ditutup melemah 1,41% pada level 6026. Saham sektor industri dan keuangan mengalami pelemahan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp543,10 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 5958/5938 dan resistance 6062/6110. Stock pick: ITMG, PTBA, TKIM, CPIN, KLBF
