Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup variatif di mana indeks Dow Jones ditutup melemah sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat pada rekor tertinggi. Pasar menantikan data inflasi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi AS untuk memprediksi apakah The Fed berpotensi untuk mulai menurunkan suku bunga pada tahun ini. Selain itu pasar juga menantikan earning season triwulan II yang akan dimulai dengan dirilisnya laporan keuangan Citigroup dan JP Morgan pada hari Jumat. Sementara itu harga minyak mentah dan emas mengalami koreksi.

IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 8 Juli 2024 ditutup melemah 0,03% pada level 7250. Saham sektor energi mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor properti membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp138,31 miliar termasuk transaksi di pasar non regular.
