Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat dipimpin oleh kenaikan pada saham sektor teknologi, setelah para pemimpin senat mencapai kesepakatan sementara untuk menaikkan plafon utang AS sehingga meredakan kekhawatiran potensi gagal bayar pada bulan ini. Sementara itu data initial claims pekan lalu menunjukkan penurunan klaim terbesar dalam tiga bulan terakhir, sebanyak 326 ribu, lebih rendah dari estimasi 340 ribu. Pasar akan mencermati data nonfarm payrolls yang akan dirilis nanti malam. Data tenaga kerja tersebut diperkirakan akan menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi The Fed untuk kapan mulai melakukan tapering. Pasar juga akan mencermati earning season triwulan III yang akan dimulai pada pekan depan, di mana rata-rata laba emiten dalam indeks S&P500 diperkirakan tumbuh 29% menurut data Refinitiv.
IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 7 Oktober 2021 ditutup melemah 0,014% pada level 6416. Saham sektor energi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor konsumer noncycle mengalami kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp1,565 triliun. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6385/6350 dan resistance 6465/6500. Stock pick: BRIS, AGRO, TLKM, SCMA, EXCL
