Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat, rebound setelah dua hari mengalami koreksi. Sebelumnya indeks juga sempat bergerak melemah. Saham-saham yang defensif seperti konsumer dan kesehatan mendorong penguatan indeks, seiring dengan upaya investor mencari sektor yang lebih stabil pertumbuhan laba dan dividennya. Investor terus memantau perang Ukraina-Rusia, karena Ukraina meminta lebih banyak senjata dari NATO, serta Uni Eropa dan AS mempertimbangkan larangan batubara Rusia. Sementara itu, Senat AS mengesahkan undang-undang yang melarang impor minyak dan gas Rusia. Namun harga minyak mentah melemah karena ketidakpastian apakah negara area euro akan dapat memberlakukan sanksi terhadap Rusia tersebut dengan efektif. Adanya lockdown akibat gelombang baru Covid-19 di China juga mendorong kekhawatiran pemulihan permintaan minyak berjalan dengan lambat.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 7 April 2022 ditutup menguat 0,33% pada level 7127. Saham sektor keuangan mengalami kenaikan terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp361,57 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 7090/7060 dan resistance 7150/7170.
