Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat seiring dengan penguatan saham sektor teknologi yang mendorong rebound. Pasar juga menantikan data nonfarm payrolls yang akan dirilis pada Jumat ini, yang dapat mempengaruhi keputusan The Fed untuk menetapkan kapan tapering akan mulai dilakukan. Sementara itu Senat akan melakukan pengambilan suara pada hari Rabu waktu AS untuk menentukan kenaikan batas atas utang AS. Indeks ISM sektor jasa pada bulan Agustus naik pada level 61,9 dari 61,7.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 5 Oktober 2021 ditutup melemah 0,86% pada level 6288. Saham sektor infrastruktur mengalami koreksi terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor energi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp1,586 triliun. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6250/6235 dan resistance 6340/6360.
