Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix dimana indeks Dow Jones ditutup menguat sedangkan indeks S&P500 dan Nasdaq Composite ditutup melemah. Kenaikan yield obligasi pemerintah AS mendorong penguatan saham perbankan yang mengkontribusikan kenaikan indeks Dow Jones. Sebaliknya kenaikan yield tersebut memicu koreksi pada saham sektor teknologi sehingga Nasdaq Composite melemah. Kenaikan yield obligasi disebabkan oleh ekspektasi kenaikan suku bunga The Fed pada tahun ini sebagai upaya untuk meredam laju inflasi. Saham perbankan dan saham berorientasi nilai lainnya diuntungkan dari kenaikan bunga, sebaliknya saham berorientasi pertumbuhan seperti saham sektor teknologi terdampak negatif dari kenaikan suku bunga. Sementara itu indeks ISM manufaktur AS bulan Desember lalu turun pada level 58,7 dari bulan sebelumnya 61,1, serta lebih rendah dari estimasi 60,3.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 4 Januari 2022 ditutup menguat 0,45% pada level 6695. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor basic material mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp545,52 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6675/6650 dan resistance 6720/6750. Stock pick: BBCA, BMRI, BBNI, ICBP, CPIN, SIDO
