Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, dimana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup melemah sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup menguat tipis. Koreksi indeks dipicu oleh laporan keuangan saham otomotif dan data tenaga kerja sektor swasta yang mengecewakan karena lebih rendah dari perkiraan. Data ADP Employment bulan Juli menunjukkan penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor swasta sebesar 330 ribu, lebih rendah dibandingkan bulan sebelumnya 680 ribu dan dari estimasi 650 ribu. Namun indeks ISM non manufaktur bulan Juli naik pada level 64,1 dari 60,1, serta lebih baik dibandingkan estimasi 60,5. Kenaikan indeks ISM non manufaktur ini mendorong rebound yield obligasi pemerintah AS dengan tenor 10 tahun pada level 1,8% setelah sempat melemah hingga 1,13%. Selain itu, wakil Chairman The Fed memprediksi The Fed akan menaikkan suku bunga mulai 2023 dan ada risiko kenaikan inflasi. Saham sektor energi melemah seiring dengan turunnya harga minyak mentah akibat kekhawatiran akan turunnya permintaan karena penyebaran virus varian delta serta naiknya cadangan minyak AS.
Dari domestik pada hari ini dijadwalkan akan dirilis data pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia triwulan II/2021. IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 4 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 0,46% pada level 6159. Saham sektor transportasi dan logistik serta sektor keuangan membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp357,8 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6135/6112 dan resistance 6170/6195. Stock pick: BBRI, BBNI, BRIS, TLKM, SAME, PRDA, MEDC, ASSA, PTBA
