Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat. Seperti yang diperkirakan The Fed akan mulai mengurangi program pembelian obligasi pada pertengahan bulan November seiring dengan membaiknya kondisi ekonomi dari akibat pandemi. The Fed menyatakan akan mulai mengurangi program pembelian obligasinya pada bulan November sebesar USD15 miliar pemangkasan per bulannya dari program USD120 miliar/bulan dan berencana akan mengakhiri pembelian obligasi tersebut pada tahun 2022. Namun The Fed masih optimis bahwa kenaikan inflasi hanya bersifat sementara dan mengindikasikan tidak akan menaikkan suku bunga segera. The Fed menyatakan bahwa kesulitan pasokan global menambah risiko kenaikan inflasi sehingga perlu dilonggarkan untuk memberi peluang bagi penurunan inflasi. Indikator inflasi bagi The Fed, PCE prices, telah meningkat dua kali lipat dari target The Fed sejak bulan Mei, namun The Fed menyatakan belum akan mengubah suku bunga dari kisaran mendekati nol saat ini sampai jelas bahwa inflasi tidak akan mereda dengan sendirinya.
IHSG pada perdagangan Rabu 3 November 2021 ditutup menguat 0,91% pada level 6552. Saham sektor teknologi membukukan kenaikan terbesar. Sedangkan saham sektor industri mengalami koreksi terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp158,41 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6510/6480 dan resistance 6575/6600.
