Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup menguat di mana indeks S&P500 ditutup pada rekor tertinggi didorong oleh kenaikan saham Apple dan saham sektor kesehatan di tengah kekhawatiran akan meningkatnya kasus virus varian delta membayangi laporan kinerja keuangan emiten yang kuat. Penguatan indeks Dow Jones antara lain ditopang oleh saham perbankan dan industrial. Sedangkan sektor yang berpotensi akan mendapat dampak negatif terbesar jika terjadi pembatasan aktivitas kembali, seperti saham sektor penerbangan dan pelayaran, mengalami tekanan jual sehingga membatasi penguatan indeks. Sementara itu data factory orders bulan Juni meningkat 1,5%, setelah naik 2,3% pada bulan sebelumnya, serta di atas estimasi yang sebesar 1%.
IHSG pada perdagangan Selasa 3 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 0,56% pada level 6130. Saham sektor transportasi dan logistik membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net buy Rp125,75 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6112/6080 dan resistance 6165/6195. Stock pick: BBRI, BMRI, ASII, TLKM, ASSA
