Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix, dimana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup melemah sedangkan Nasdaq Composite menguat tipis. Setelah sempat berada di teritori positif, indeks Dow Jones ditutup melemah akibat tekanan jual di akhir sesi yang disebabkan oleh kekhawatiran akan penyebaran virus varian baru dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berpotensi sudah mencapai level tertingginya, meskipun kinerja emiten Q2/21 menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang kuat. Turunnya yield obligasi pemerintah AS dan harga minyak yang mengalami koreksi mengindikasikan kekhawatiran investor akan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Indeks ISM manufaktur bulan Juli melambat pada level 59,5 dari bulan sebelumnya 60,6 serta di bawah estimasi 60,7. Harga minyak mentah mengalami koreksi akibat kekhawatiran akan ekonomi China setelah survey menunjukkan aktivitas industri melambat pada level terendah selama 17 bulan terakhir serta kekhawatiran akan kenaikan output produksi oleh OPEC.
IHSG pada perdagangan Senin 2 Agustus 2021 ditutup menguat 0,44% pada level 6096. Saham sektor consumer noncyclical mengalami penguatan terbesar. Investor asing net sell Rp1,83 miliar. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6050/6015 dan resistance 6145/6165. Stock pick: ASII, TLKM, INDY, KLBF, TINS, ADRO
