Market Review and Prediction

Indeks di bursa Wall Street ditutup mix di mana indeks Dow Jones dan S&P500 ditutup melemah sedangkan Nasdaq Composite ditutup di area positif. Namun selama bulan Agustus lalu, ketiga indeks utama di Wall Street mengalami koreksi. Pasar mencermati indeks PCE prices yang merupakan indikator inflasi yang dilihat oleh The Fed. Indeks PCE inti pada bulan Juli tercatat sebesar 0,2% mom dan 4,2% yoy, sesuai dengan estimasi. Selanjutnya pasar menantikan data nonfarm payrolls yang akan dirilis nanti malam. Data inflasi dan tenaga kerja tersebut merupakan indikator yang berpotensi dapat mempengaruhi keputusan The Fed dalam menentukan kebijakan moneternya pada pertemuan bulan ini.

IHSG pada perdagangan Kamis 31 Agustus 2023 ditutup melemah 0,19% pada level 6953. Saham sektor kesehatan mengalami koreksi terbesar, sedangkan saham sektor teknologi membukukan penguatan terbesar. Investor asing mencatatkan net sell Rp1,18 triliun termasuk transaksi di pasar non reguler. Pada perdagangan hari ini IHSG diperkirakan bergerak pada kisaran support 6920/6895 dan resistance 6970/6990. Stock pick: BBRI, TLKM, ADMR, MDKA, TKIM, ASII, AKRA
